Green Cleaning Tips

I've often heard that, in times of stress, cleaning is an easy way to escape from everything swirling around you.  While it does take me (personally) a great deal of effort to get my eyes away from the TV and to finally start cleaning, I find it very therapeutic as time goes on.  Because of this, and because I'm on-the-go most of the time, I do all I can to find any cleaning tips (especially green cleaning) that will help me get everything done more efficiently.

New Additions to CleanTelligent, Janitorial Software

If you don't have all the right information, it becomes much more difficult to be able to focus on which improvements you need to make.  That alone is why I'm happy to announce that CleanTelligent has made available new, additional reports (making data analysis easier), along with many software upgrades to existing reports on our janitorial software.

Effective Sales Tips

I think Jerry Seinfeld had the right idea when a telemarketer wouldn't leave him alone - he turned the tables on them and made the telemarketer realize how his calls were completely inconveniencing Jerry.  The problem that most people have with salespeople is that they feel that the salesperson sees them as a bag of money.

Another problem is that, in my experience, many salespeople try to put on a front - I can tell that the "real them" is completely different than the person standing in front of me.

In the modern world of competing for contracts as a BSC, sometimes we feel a bit like David when he faced Goliath.  Like many of the "big boys" in the jan/san industry, Goliath seemed superior to the "small-business" David in every way: 

Goliath was a physical specimen seemingly bred to become the ultimate warrior.  David was a shepherd who had never set foot on a battlefield.

How to be Efficient in the Workplace

I grew up being a HUGE basketball fan.  While I've never been a fan of the Lakers or the Heat, I've always admired Pat Riley as one of the best coaches of all-time.  His secret? Efficiency.  He has been quoted as saying "a particular shot or way of moving the ball can be a player's personal signature, but efficiency of performance is what wins the game for the team."

This is a statement about basketball, of course, but it can apply to the workplace as well.  As anyone who watches basketball knows, there are many players who think that the best way to win is to just shoot and shoot until the ball finally goes through the net.  As everyone who watches basketball also knows, teams that rely on players like that usually don't do very well.

I'll break down what I believe are the three most important things to remember when you're trying to get more out of your workday.

Hard Economic Times Creates Shift in BSC's Target Market

Building service contractors appear to be shifting their target market.  This surprising fact became apparent after listening to a podcast by Dan Weltin with Contracting Profits. During these hard economic times, companies in general must modify their target audience to stay on their feet – BSC’s are no different.  He explained that during this time of economic hardship BSC’s are moving from the traditional office buildings to educational and medical facilities.  This major jump is created by the scarcity of available jobs and loss of profits in the commercial office cleaning niche.   

Big Win for CleanTelligent Customer Service


I just got done interviewing [CleanTelligent Customer] for a letter of recommendation for
